New GP Education Opportunities Focus on ADHD Support and Preventive Care
11 Jun 2026
A webinar on 17 June will explore how collaborative goal setting can help children experiencing attention, behaviour and developmental challenges. Delivered by RACGP Specific Interests in partnership with Emerging Minds, the session will provide practical ways for GPs to support families, build confidence and connect them with suitable services and resources.
The RACGP has also introduced a new digital library platform, giving members easier access to trusted medical resources, improved search functions, mobile-friendly access and enhanced support for continuing professional development and evidence-based practice.
The AGPT Academic Post Program offers registrars an opportunity to combine hands-on clinical training with research or medical education experience. The funded 12-month part-time opportunity is open to registrars from a range of backgrounds, including those interested in medical editing and publishing. Applications close on 6 July.
Registrations are now open for the 2026 General Practice in Addiction (GPADD) Conference, taking place in Melbourne on 28–29 August. The conference will feature expert speakers and practical workshops focused on alcohol and other drug issues in general practice. Early bird registrations remain available until 19 July.
Healthcare professionals are also invited to register interest in a NACCHO workshop in Brisbane on 26 June, which will focus on preventive healthcare for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The event will provide practical strategies for culturally safe, evidence-based care and opportunities to learn from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health leaders.
In addition, the National Association of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Practitioners (NAATSIHWP) and RACGP will continue their webinar series on integrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Practitioners into healthcare models, with the next session scheduled for 25 June.
