The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) will host two free webinars in July to help GPs better understand their regulatory responsibilities.

The first webinar, Health Service Liaison: How AHPRA Can Support Employers and Health Services with Notifications, will be held on 7 July. It will cover mandatory reporting requirements, notification processes, workplace risk management and how AHPRA's Health Service Liaison Team supports practitioners and employers.

The second webinar, Supporting a Health Practitioner with Restrictions: What You Need to Know, will take place on 22 July. It is designed for supervisors, mentors and other professionals involved in monitoring practitioners with registration restrictions and will explain compliance requirements and monitoring processes.

The RACGP is also encouraging members to complete its Future Governance Survey ahead of the 2026 Annual General Meeting to help shape the College's future governance.

On 15 July, the National Asthma Council Australia will present a free webinar on the latest updates to the Australian Asthma Handbook. The session will cover asthma diagnosis across different age groups, lung function testing and practical clinical guidance.

The National Guide workshop series on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health is also continuing across Australia, with upcoming workshops planned in Melbourne, Alice Springs and Sydney. The workshops aim to strengthen culturally safe preventive healthcare while providing continuing professional development opportunities.

The RACGP also highlighted the work of the Australian General Practice Research Foundation, encouraging support for GP-led research through donations and community
engagement.
