SWSPHN Invites Community Members to Help Shape Local Healthcare

26 Jun 2026

South Western Sydney Primary Health Network (SWSPHN) is inviting community members to join its Community Advisory Committee and help guide the planning, design and improvement of healthcare services across the region.

SWSPHN is seeking people with lived experience as healthcare consumers, carers, family members or community advocates to provide advice on local health priorities, community needs and opportunities to improve services.

The committee works closely with SWSPHN's Board and leadership team to ensure healthcare planning reflects the experiences and needs of local residents.

SWSPHN encourages applications from people who are passionate about improving health outcomes and can represent community perspectives through respectful discussion and collaboration.

Applications are welcomed from people of all backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, people living with disability, carers, young people, older people, rural residents and those with diverse health experiences.

Committee members will have the opportunity to contribute to healthcare decisions, influence future services, develop governance and leadership skills, and work alongside health professionals and community leaders.

Meetings are held online via Zoom for approximately two hours every second month, usually on Fridays from 10.30 am. Members may also review documents and provide feedback on health resources between meetings.

Community representatives who are not paid by their employer to attend meetings will receive remuneration of $150 per hour.

Expressions of interest are now open and will close on 7 August 2026, or earlier if enough applications are received.
