South Australians are being urged to check the poppy seeds in their kitchens after a previously recalled batch of non-food grade poppy seeds was found to have re-entered the supply chain, including in South Australia.

Tasmanian community urged to be on alert for recalled poppy seed
This alert was issued on 1st July and remains current. Non-food grade poppy seeds have incorrectly entered the food supply chain and may have been available in Tasmania. These seeds are not intended for human consumption and are not safe to consume.

National Immunisation Program (NIP) changes from 1 July 2023
From 1 July 2023, changes to the National Immunisation Program are coming into effect. This includes listing Vaxelis® as an alternative vaccine for children of a certain age, and the meningococcal B catch-up vaccination program for First Nations children under 2 years of age will be made ongoing.
